As always, a pleasure working with the guys at Averner Films on an amazing project for Roborace. A brand new idea where electric driverless cars race each other around circuits across the globe. Pretty insane stuff.
Hanging out of the back of a supercharged Range Rover blasting around Silverstone is definitely my idea of fun.
It was our first time working with the RED Raven but it definitely won't be the last. In fact we'll be operating the camera again for another 2 day shoot for Roborace this week. This time with a Easy Rig Flowcine to ease the pain on the arms. It's a fairly heavy set up when on the Movi M10 and especially so when mounted to a Ronin. But apart from the weight it's a brilliant gimbal camera. Coupled with the Zeiss prime lenses, the footage looked stunning.
It was also great to be working with the Inspire RAW, a rare pleasure as the footage is stunning but be prepared to have a long transfer time! 2.5 hours it took us to get 135gb off the card.
A short Facebook edit went out online earlier on today which looks pretty cool and we even managed to get a little feature on the gimbal just in case you thought we were lying, let us know what you think in the comments below!
