First few days in France for the Quebec St Malo Transat race

We're here in very sunny St Malo for the Quebec St Malo Transat 4 yearly sailing regatta. The first boat, beating the record by just under 2 days was Spindrift who we followed into the harbour at around 11pm last night getting some stunning images.

The boat was travelling at 17 knots in 8 know wind! Amazing stuff, no wonder she's beaten the record by such a massive amount.

You can see us operating the drone in a Facebook live stream on the race page by following this link...

A few hours later and the multi 50's started getting closer to the finish. With the drone out of use because of the darkness we moved onto the Movi Gimbal with the Sony A7S full frame sensor providing amazing shots in nearly pitch black conditions.

Amazingly we were still up to see the sun rising over St Malo and the Multi 50's heading through the dock and into the harbour for the champaign celebrations. it was a beautiful sunrise that unfortunately turned to cloud.

So it's now 13:00 here in France and after 29 hours awake filming, cutting and uploading we're finally off to bed. More updates to follow over the next few days!
